Tax Resolution Clarity is a free reference site about IRS tax debt. We do not sell anything, we do not collect leads, and we do not refer you to any firm.
Report a correction
If something on this site is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Every page cites the IRS source behind it, so a link to the page and the sentence you are questioning is enough. Corrections are the most useful message you can send us.
Our correction mailbox is not yet receiving mail. We are not going to publish an address that silently drops your message. Until it is live, the IRS page cited on any page you are questioning is the authority — and if a page here disagrees with it, the IRS is right.
Questions about the site
Use the same address for anything else — how we source a page, why a figure is or is not published, or a request that we cover something.

- We cannot give advice about your situation. Nothing here is tax or legal advice, and we are not able to tell you what will happen in your case.
- We cannot contact the IRS for you, act as your representative, or look at your account. To authorize someone to act for you, the IRS uses Form 2848.
- We do not refer you to tax resolution firms and receive nothing if you hire one.
If you need help and cannot pay for it
The IRS funds Low Income Taxpayer Clinics, which represent people in disputes with the IRS for free or a small fee. The Taxpayer Advocate Service is an independent organization within the IRS that helps taxpayers whose problems are causing financial difficulty.
