The short version

Most of this site can be used without identifying yourself. If you ask for IRS notice reminders, we collect your email address, the notice number, the printed deadline and your time zone so we can send the reminders you requested. We do not ask for a Social Security number, tax account number, balance, or copy of the notice. Calculator entries stay in your browser.

What we do not collect

  • No name, phone number or postal address.
  • No Social Security number, tax identification number or account number.
  • No accounts and no passwords — there is nothing to sign in to.
  • No sale or referral of reminder information. We do not pass it to tax resolution firms, and we receive nothing if you hire one.

Until 2026-08-20 the calculators displayed forms asking for name, email and phone. Those forms never transmitted or stored anything, and they have been removed. If you used one, no record of it exists.

IRS notice reminders

The reminder tool sends the email address, IRS notice or letter number, printed deadline, browser-reported time zone and consent-policy version to our first-party email gateway. The optional date-received field is used only to display your plan in the browser and is not submitted. We do not collect the balance, tax period, contents of the notice, or an image of it.

A plan does not activate until you confirm it through the email we send. Confirmed plans receive a fixed sequence at approximately 9:00 a.m. in the submitted time zone: three days before, one day before and on the printed deadline. You can stop the remaining reminders through the private management link in an email.

Cloudflare processes and stores the first-party contact, consent, plan and delivery ledger, and Resend delivers the messages. We retain consent and delivery history so we can honor cancellations, suppress failed addresses and document what was requested. Contact us if you want us to delete information that we are not required to retain.

A downloaded calendar event is generated in your browser. If you choose the private subscribed-calendar feed after confirmation, its URL acts as a bearer link and the feed contains the notice number, deadline and plan status, but not your email address. Anyone with that URL could view the event, so do not share it.

The calculators

The figures you enter into the offer in compromise, payment plan and penalty calculators, and the answers you give the resolution quiz, are processed entirely in your browser. They are not sent to us or to anyone else, and they are not saved. Close the tab and they are gone. Those calculator and quiz areas are also explicitly masked from Microsoft Clarity recordings.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and which tools get used. Some of those events are sent through an endpoint on this domain which forwards them to Google server-side. It records the usual things — pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived. Google sets cookies to do this. Google’s handling of that data is governed by its own policies.

We record when a calculator is started, advances a step and is completed, but those events identify the tool and step only. They do not include the figures or answers you entered. The offer in compromise calculator previously sent the debt figure and estimated settlement; both were stopped on 2026-08-20.

For the notice tool, analytics records that the tool was opened, a plan was generated, a calendar action was selected or a reminder was requested. Those events do not contain the email address, notice number, dates or time zone.

We also use Microsoft Clarity for aggregated interaction measurements, heatmaps and session recordings. Clarity masks sensitive text by default, and the calculators and quiz carry an additional explicit mask over the entire tool. Clarity receives page and device information, but not the values or answers entered into those tools. Microsoft’s handling of that data is governed by its own policies.

Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page use and real-user performance, including Core Web Vitals. Its beacon does not use cookies or browser storage and does not receive calculator entries, quiz answers, reminder details, or contact information.

Cookies and local storage

Google Analytics and, where permitted, Microsoft Clarity set cookies. In regions where Microsoft requires a consent signal and none has been provided, Clarity runs without cookies and some sessions may not be joined together. We also use your browser’s session storage to remember how you arrived — campaign parameters, click identifiers, the page you landed on, the referring site, and a first-touch timestamp — so analytics attributes the visit correctly. It is cleared when you close the tab. A persistent local-storage flag is used only when our team explicitly enables analytics QA mode; it prevents GA4, Clarity, Cloudflare Web Analytics, and the server-side event relay from loading during production verification.

Changes

We will update this page before materially changing what the reminder service collects or how it is used. To ask what reminder information we hold or request a correction or deletion, get in touch.
